We use the VISX Star S4 IR® excimer laser system with wavefront-guided technology to deliver our patients a LASIK experience that is both comfortable and exceptionally customized to their specific needs. Since we can tailor our treatment to your unique eye, this highly specialized laser lets us precisely correct the vision of patients whether they have myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), or astigmatism.

The wavefront-guided technology of our VISX Star S4 IR® system lets our team create a unique map of your eye and its specific characteristics. This map is sent directly to the equipment used in your LASIK surgery to enhance its precision and accuracy. These aren’t the only personalized “waves” you’ll benefit from — patients control the soundwaves during surgery at Standard Optical, as we let each patient make their own customized playlist for their procedure.
What to Expect from Your LASIK Surgery
Our experienced surgeons and staff are experts at walking patients through the LASIK process, so there’s never any uncertainty. After we’ve measured your eye using our wavefront-guided technology, we’ll use the VISX Star S4® to gently reshape your cornea. The whole process is faster than ever: typically, surgery will only take about 10 minutes per eye, and you’ll need a ride home afterwards, but you’ll begin noticing some results almost immediately. There may be mild visual distortion or discomfort in the hours and days following your surgery, but these symptoms are minor and should clear up quickly.

A day post operation my eyesight is incredible. Just had Lasik done here and I must say what an amazing customer service. The process was quicker than I thought. It's been a day since the procedure and I feel amazing already.
